Children are the heart of the Amity Family and play an important part in each and every worship service.

Sunday School

Sunday School for All Ages is held every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m.  Sunday School for children is held in Room 4, led by our Children's Minister following the "Way of the Child" curriculum.

During the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service, the children are invited to continue Sunday School by sitting with their class near the front of the church, assembling on the Chancel steps for a special lesson, then returning to their classroom for more lessons, fellowship, and fun.

Children's Time & Children's Church

All children in the congregation are invited to the Chancel steps for a lesson on the morning's Gospel reading designed to engage and involve them. Afterwards, they are welcome to remain with their parents or join other children for additional Christian Education. Return to top

"Way of the Child" Curriculum"

Amity is currently using the "Way of the Child" Sunday School curriculum. It places more focus on formation of the child than informing the child. In addition to being Biblically based, it also teaches traditional spiritual disciplines.  The children learn the disciplines of quiet, listening for God's presence, prayer, etc. Time is also set aside for fun and fellowship.Return to top

July’s Sunday School Report

Sunday mornings continue to be delightful in our classroom. Thank you god and thanks for parents. I know we have been blessed with incredible children!

Those of you who attend Sunday service must notice how “at home” and “connected” to the Amity family our children are. Thank you for your sincere nurturing and loving gestures – it truly feeds them. They sense you care and it reflects in their expressions and behavior.

A special thanks to Marie – your enthusiasm for sharing God’s message is golden, your baking is magic!  The children, as they have told you, will miss you. Have a restful break and already look forward to your return.Return to top
